I'm back to working on Mindgames (which I received some excellent criticism on). So I shall again ask questions of LJ-land, in the hopes that some of you either know more about this or know better how to use search engines.

A class (ages 12-14) is taking school trips, ostensibly to learn about how government works, up close and personal. They go first to their state government, then to DC.

What could they see, at state level? How close to lawmakers and aides might they get, when touring a building? At the state level, are all of the branches of government in the same city? in one general region of a city?

In DC, how much of the White House would they see on a tour? How much of the houses of legislation? And again, how physically proximate are they to the people in office?
